Attended Blues Night Jam last evening and encountered a waitress that apparently has not received much training in her chosen profession. Rude and not a welcoming individual such as this should consider another profession. When serving the first drink order she her serving tray spilling beer down my neck and then proceeded to serve the short filled glass. When asked if that was 20 oz glass she commented I guess you want me to fill that up. Passing out menu she hit me in the head twice instead of walking around the table and handing them to the patrons. Food arrived after a long wait, she passed by anything else needed but didn’t stop long enough to hear answers. Asked for the check she dropped it at the table and disappeared. I attempted to pay at the bar but was told had to pay the server who was wasting time talking at another table. She shouted in my face grabbed my credit card then proceeded to return it to the table rather than to me at the bar where I waited. Perhaps the restaurant should qualify their hires. I may visit McCalls again however I would not accept a table where I could encounter this nasty ungrateful server.
My husband and I went to dinner at Mcalls for the first time last Sunday. I dont normally review but amazing experience! My dinner was meatloaf and it was excellent. My husband got a fried chicken dinner and it was honestly better than mine. I was very pleased by the greeting of the host at the door. She had glasses but forgot her name. Our server was Heather. I did compliment her many times as did my husband. Anyways will definitely be back. We are from Indiana but we come often. First impressions are the best!!!! Great food excellent service!!!
We have never had a bad dinner or carry out at McCall's. Their fried chicken is one of the best around and feeds a person that can eat 3 to 4 pieces of big chicken. Fries are good.. Our usual carry out is the wings and they are very good. Bare, no breading is our favorite there. Might have them tonight!
